THANKS to Saudi Arabia's petrochemical industries, ALSHIFA now relies on locally manufactured polyethylene for making plungers. However, special grade polypropylene, the raw material for syringe cylinders, is imported by the company. The manufacturing process involves injection moulding, hot stamping of graduations, assembly and packing with recurrent quality control checks between them, ALSHIFA's manufacturing process complies with "Good Manufacturing Practices" (GMP) of the World Health Organization and German standard DIN 13098, in addition to the Saudi Standards set by Saudi Arabian Specification Organization (SASO). Close technical ties with International Specialized Institutes & Companies in this field keep the company fully abreast with latest technological advances in the field of medical disposables.
