Dressed like paramedics, good hygiene is deep into the habits of ALSHIFA workers. Every worker has to put on special factory outfit and completely disinfect himself before he can take up his day's work. That self - care on part of our staff has made ALSHIFA the most clean and safe industrial unit in the Kingdom. Workers undergo regular medical examinations and are checked against bacterial contamination of hands in the Microbiological Lab. To avoid exposure to germs, they are discouraged to leave the factory premises during work breaks and a cafeteria caters for their requirements for meals and refreshments.

The entire factory is sterilized three times a day using special high-grade disinfectants. The disinfectants, however, are changed every fortnight to wipe out microorganisms which may grow resistant to a particular disinfectant if constantly used.
